It takes a Village to raise an Artist
Village of Ones
I only need one person at my live shows to connect with me and it changes my story from playing in a loud bar with televisions to being an artist on a stage exchanging inspiration. Here, in my digital community, is where I invite you - my global Village of Ones - to join me. If you have been that one person in the crowd for me over the years you are a part of my village of ones and I am grateful that we connected and I am still here trying because of you.
Twenty-five Years Late
I am twenty five years late to the publishing world. On this journey with you, I will publish and release seven albums, six books of poetry with illustrations, books and screenplays, and one big autobiography to give you a clear and authentic dive into the tapestry of my life. Over the years many people have ask how they can support me. This subscription makes it easy for my supporters to be a part of my journey of sharing my creative work and be a part of the building a village that it takes to raise an artist.
I Am Grateful
When you join my creative community you will receive gifts of music, poetry, live streaming events and access to hang out sessions where we talk, get to know each other and collaborate on how to continue building our creative community. As we evolve and increase, the gifts I can thank you with will grow. Feel free to make suggestions as I partner with others to make beautiful things and experiences for you.

Thank you for taking the time to be here.
Recording La La La Life album in Boulder, CO

About this Album
RECORDED in BOULDER COLORADO with VINNIE COLAIUTA!!!
I went to Boulder Colorado to record my album with a lot of help from some amazing people. Being an out of the box musician in the Bahamas makes me crave and appreciate musicians who are not limited by style and interests. I met Brendan Parnell when I was self- banished from America after September 11th and was blessed to work with one of the most gifted and magical guitarists at home. We instinctively connected and wrote and played many songs with intense folk, rock and soul helpings. Brendan joined me in Colorado to record my album LA LA LIFE.
I met and connected with super producer Michael Verdick, affectionately called MV, who got Vinnie Colaiuta, one of the top drummers in the world, to play drums on my album! The drum sessions were a dream. Vinnie would ask what the feel of the song was, and I would say things like James Brown funk, Coldplay jungle or going to church spiritual, and he would deliver the drums in one take, playing a second just for fun.
Michael didn’t stop at Vinnie and got many amazing and established musicians to play on my album including: Steven Vidaic on organs (Citizen Cope); Chris Engleman on bass (e-Town Band; David Darling on cello; Paulinho DaCosta on Percussion; Selina Albright on backing vocals. Brendan Parnell was a natural among all those talented musicians and his guitar creations are beautifully immortalized on La La Life. He passed away several years later and I was called to sing at another loved one’s memorial.
There are so many stories in my life like these where people live on in the songs I write and the songs I sing. People live on in the songs we all sing. La La Life is an album filled with songs that shine a light on the difficulties in our lives that we must live through and encourages us to get to the other side. It was created with hope and a call for us to wake up, face our day with gratitude for simply being alive and get to the next sun rise because the sunset may be magical.
